Silverband Falls ~ The Grampians

Silverband Falls

Silverband Falls is located in The Grampians National Park. It is a seasonal waterfall that cascades 20 metres over the terraced cliffs into the rocks below.

The Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park is 260 kilometres west of Melbourne and has fantastic hiking trails, beautiful waterfalls, superb lookouts and a large variety of birds and wildlife.

The Grampians are five stunning sandstone ridges that run north to south. On the eastern side, they have steep and rugged slopes, while on the west side, they have gentler slopes.

The Walk - 1.6 kilometres - 45 Minutes - Easy

The walk starts from the Silverband Falls Carpark. The flat, easy track meanders through dense bush alongside Dairy Creek.

There is a lovely assortment of wildflowers, ferns and fungi along the edge of the track.

Wander along the track and then cross over the bridge, where you can see the water flowing along Dairy Creek.

The track then becomes narrower and the bush denser until you arrive at the base of Silverband Falls.

Directions to Silverband Falls Carpark

From Halls Gap, head south on Grampians Road (C216) towards Mackeys Peak Road for 6.8 kilometres. Then turn right onto Silverband Road (C218). After 1.3 kilometres, you will see the carpark on the right.
