Purling Brook Falls

Purling Brook Falls is a horsetail waterfall on Purling Brook. It is located in the Springbok National Park, part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests in the South East region of Queensland, Australia.


It is one of Queensland's tallest waterfalls, and the water plunges 100 metres over the cliff face into the rocky base below. You can view Purling Brook Falls from the top and the base of the falls.


Purling Brook Falls Lookout - 300 metres

The lookout to see the top of the falls is only 300 metres from the carpark. You will also see spectacular views of the rainforest area and the forest floor below.


Purling Brook Falls circuit - 4 Km - 2 Hours Return

This walking track is four kilometres long and has approximately 265 steps. It is recommended that you do this circuit clockwise, as it is a little easier. Start from the Springbrook Plateau and follow the path through the beautiful rainforest.


Directions to Purling Brook Falls


Getting to the Springbrook National Park will take around 1.5 hours from Brisbane or just under an hour's drive from the Gold Coast.


From Robina Town Centre, on the Gold Coast, exit South onto the M1 (Pacific Motorway), then take the roundabout to Regency Place.


At the next roundabout, take the first exit left onto Highway 99 (which starts as Railway St and becomes the Gold Coast-Springbrook Rd).


Follow Highway 99 for approximately 25 kilometres before turning left onto Forestry Rd, where you will see a signpost to Purling Brook Falls car park.
