Wonderful Philosophers Falls.

Philosopher Falls

Philosopher Falls is 9 kilometres from the town of Waratah and is a beautiful multi-tiered waterfall surrounded by stunning rainforests.

The walk is 2 kilometres return on a grade 3 track and will take about 90 minutes.

Follow the gently undulating walking track, which runs along the old water race, then down about 200 steps to the Falls lookout. Here, you will have a great view of the excellent Philosopher Falls.

Philosopher Falls was named after James "Philosopher" Smith, who discovered Tin in the Waratah area in 1871.

The walk through the unspoilt rainforest is impressive, with a large variety of fungi to observe along the track.
