Mount Schank
Mount Schank is a 100-metre-high dormant volcano with a walking track up to the top and a circuit track around the rim. It is located 12 kilometres South of Mount Gambier in South Australia.
The Walk - 1.9 Kilometre Circuit - 1 Hour - Moderate
The walk starts from the Mount Schank carpark with information boards, toilets, picnic areas and a small carpark.
The track begins by meandering around Mount Schank before you head up the steep 1038 limestone steps to the top of the rim. At the top are beautiful views over the countryside towards Port MacDonnell and into the crater.
The circuit track around the rim is a narrow, undulating path with several boardwalk sections.
