Mount Lofty Summit
Mount Lofty Summit is 15 kilometres east of Adelaide in the Mount Lofty Ranges and is Adelaide's highest peak at 710 metres above sea level. Enjoy stunning panoramic views across Adelaide city to the coast.
The Mount Lofty Summit is part of the Cleland National Park, which conserves an important area of bushland situated in the Adelaide Hills. There is a wonderful network of walking and cycling trails that introduces you to the diverse native wildlife, cultural heritage and spectacular views of the Adelaide Hills and surrounds.
The Summit Restaurant and Café is the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or coffee, as the dining area has wall-to-wall glass windows to enjoy the stunning views.
You can also see the Flinders Column; this obelisk was named in 1902 to commemorate Matthew Flinders, who, from Kangaroo Island, discovered and named Mount Lofty in 1802.
Mount Lofty Summit also features a visitor centre, gift shop, and several walking tracks.
