Millaa Millaa Falls ~ Queensland.

Millaa Millaa Falls

Millaa Millaa Falls is one of the most popular and picturesque waterfalls in Northern Queensland. It is Queensland Heritage listed and forms part of the Waterfall Circuit with Zillie Falls and Ellinjaa Falls.

Millaa Millaa Falls is approximately 98 kilometres south of Cairns. Take a scenic drive through the Atherton Tablelands and enjoy panoramic views of rolling hills and stunning landscapes.

There are two parking areas at Millaa Millaa Falls. You can access the falls by walking down a flight of stairs from the upper car park. Alternatively, walk straight to the falls from the lower carpark; this area is wheelchair accessible. However, this parking area is used by buses and coaches and can get very busy.

Millaa Millaa Falls is a true natural wonder and one of the most photographed waterfalls in Australia. The water plummets 18 metres over a sheer cliff face into a pristine swimming pool below.  You can walk straight into the pool at the base of the falls.  It is the perfect spot for a refreshing swim and to cool off in the tropical Queensland heat.

The lush rainforest surrounding the falls is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers. Look for the vibrant blue Ulysses butterflies that flutter through the foliage.
