Meetus Falls ~ Tasmania.

Meetus Falls

Meetus Falls is a Magnificent Waterfall located in the Meetus Falls Reserve near Lake Leake in Tasmania. The water from the Cygnet River plunges forty metres over the rocky cliff and cascades into the gorge below. It is located in the Meetus Falls Reserve and is a permanent waterfall with water flowing all year round.

On the left of the Picnic Shelter shed you will see a sign to the Meetus Falls viewing platform and a sign that will take you to the Cygnet River (the base of the falls).

The track to the viewing area is a downhill rough bush track that is rocky and steep in places; at the end of this track, you will come to the viewing platform, which offers excellent views of Meetus Falls.

The Walk ~ 500 metres ~ 20 minutes return

Directions to Meetus Falls

From Campbell Town, turn East onto the Lake Leake Highway (B34) and drive for approx. 35 kilometres. When you reach the intersection at McKays Rd, turn left and continue driving approximately 11 kilometres along McKays Road. This road is unsealed and used regularly by logging trucks, so please drive carefully.

You will then see a sign to the Meetus Falls Picnic Area; the last 2 kilometres of this road are rough with lots of deep potholes. I recommend driving to Meetus Falls in a 4 WD vehicle.
