Lobster Falls
Lobster Falls is a lovely cascade waterfall located on Lobster Rivulet, which flows between two cliff faces in the Gog Range between Deloraine and Mole Creek.
Walking Track 4.2 Kilometres - 2 Hours - Grade 4
The tracks start along an old 4WD Track and are easy to navigate and relatively flat. It then becomes narrower with a steep decline down towards the Lobster Rivulet.
Follow the track along the cliffs above Lobster Rivulet. Take care as this section is very narrow and has areas of loose rocks.
You will come to a junction in the track, with one way to the upper cascade of Lobster Falls and another track that continues for another kilometre to the lower cascade of Lobster Falls.
We decided to view the upper cascade of Lobster Falls, and there is a nice open area where you can see and photograph the falls.
You can access the waterfall's base via a very steep and slippery rocky path.
Small bridges and steps have been put along the track to make it slightly easier.
The track can also become very muddy and slippery in parts after rain.
Directions to Lobster Falls:
Lobster Falls is only 10 minutes from Deloraine or Mole Creek; the walk is located off Mole Creek Rd (B12) between Dairy Plains Rd and Chudleigh.
You can park on the side of the road at the start of the track marked by a street sign - Lobster Falls.
