Knyvet Falls

Updated: May 3

Knyvet Falls ~ Cradle Mountain, Tasmania.

Knyvet Falls

Kynvet Falls is located in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. You start this walk along the boardwalk across the road from the Cradle Mountain Lodge shop. The start of the walk is signposted for Knyvet Falls and the Dove Canyon Circuit. The track is a slightly elevated boardwalk, relatively narrow; the walk then descends some stairs into an enchanting Myrtle rainforest.

Continue along the track to Knyvet Falls, enjoying the rainforest and the lovely Pencil Pine Creek running alongside the trail.

The Dove Canyon Circuit continues on past Knyvet Falls but is a moderate-level track and requires more fitness and some scrambling, unlike the Knyvet Falls track. After enjoying and photographing Knyvet Falls, retrace your steps to return.
