Hogarth Falls
Hogarth Falls is a lovely waterfall located in People's Park in Strahan. The water from Botanical Creek cascades down in two tiers, which can be seen from the viewing platform.
The Hogarth Falls walk is one of the 60 Great Short Walks
of Tasmania
The Walk - 2.4 Kilometres Return, 45 Minutes, Grade 2
The walk starts at the end of Peoples Park and is along a nice flat, well-maintained track.
The track follows the Botanical Creek through the beautiful rainforest with towering gum trees, leatherwood, sassafras, and myrtle.
There are lovely interpretive signs made by the local Strahan Primary School children to learn more about the plants along the way.
Several sections of the track are covered non-slip boardwalk, which is excellent in the wetter months.
Just before the falls is a short, slightly steeper section of track; you will see the viewing area.
You can also walk down a short flight of steps to get to the base of Hogarth Falls.
