Freycinet National Park Top 10 Things to Do
Freycinet National Park is located on the beautiful east coast of Tasmania and occupies most of the Freycinet Peninsula. It has stunning pink granite peaks, wonderful sandy beaches, and an abundance of native birds and wildlife.

Wineglass Bay Beach
Wineglass Bay is considered one of the top ten beaches in the world. It is nestled in the iconic Hazards range and bordered by pink granite peaks. Once on the beach you can enjoy a swim in the pristine water or wander along the soft white sand.
Hazards Beach
Hazards Beach is a long, beautiful beach that runs the length of the Freycinet Peninsula’s west coast. From the beach, you will see a little island in Great Oyster Bay. The Wineglass Bay and Hazards Beach Circuit walk will take you to Hazards Beach.
Cape Tourville Lighthouse is a lovely, easy walk with amazing views. The walking track is mainly boardwalk and suitable for wheelchairs and prams. You will see wonderful coastal views of Freycinet National Park and a glimpse of Wineglass Bay.
Honeymoon Bay
Honeymoon Bay is a lovely little bay surrounded by trees and set between two rocky outcrops. It offers wonderful views of the Hazards and is quite sheltered, making it a great spot for swimming and snorkelling.
Sleepy Bay
A short 10-minute walk will take you to Sleepy Bay. This beautiful little bay has a gravelly beach, lovely orange-coloured lichen rocks, and beautiful aqua-blue water. There are also some unusual rock formations here.
Watch the Sunrise
Friendly Beaches is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise over the ocean, and to make it easier you can camp in the National Park. Other great spots to see the sunrise are Coles Bay, Cape Tourville Lighthouse and the top of Mt Amos.
