Willunga - South Australia
Willunga is a lovely historic town 47 kilometres south of Adelaide. It has rustic cafes, traditional hotels, art and craft galleries, a general store, and boutiques to browse in. For fresh produce from the region, visit the award-winning Farmers Market every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Farmers Market is held at the local high school and has a wonderful assortment of products available.
At the Jungle in Willunga, wander through the bamboo forest and look closely for the animals, including Otto, the giraffe. You can also see the fairy garden and buy some new plants.
The slate trail highlights the varied uses of slate around the town, and along the way, you will see many wonderfully restored historic buildings.
At the Willunga Recreation Reserve, you can wander through the Rose Garden maze and enjoy the playground and picnic facilities.
