Victor Harbor - South Australia
Victor Harbor is a lively tourist town 83 kilometres south of Adelaide. It’s a popular holiday destination with cafes, bakeries, restaurants, hotels and speciality shops to browse in. Wander over the causeway or catch the horse-drawn tram to explore Granite Island.
On Granite Island, you can wander around the Kaiki Circuit Trail to see the island, with lovely beaches and stunning granite rock formations.
Ride the Cockle train to Goolwa, and travel along the oldest steel railway in Australia, which dates back to 1854.
Enjoy the fantastic views from one of the lookouts at The Bluff, a 100-metre-high granite outcrop overlooking the town.
At the South Australian Whale Centre, you can see giant whale skeletons and learn more about these fantastic creatures.
Visit the Urimbirra Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can pat a koala and hand feed the kangaroos.
Wander along the town centre heritage trail, and you will see many renovated historic buildings with information signs about their early origins.
Including the Seal Island Boat Tour where you can look for seals, dolphins and sealions on a 45 minute boat ride.
