St Marys - Tasmania
St Marys is a small town nestled below the rocky outcrop of St Patrick's Head, surrounded by rainforests, farmland, and valleys. It is 130 kilometres from Launceston, 216 kilometres from Hobart, and a short drive from St Helens and the Bay of Fires.
Along the streets, you will find a selection of cafes, Air BnBs, craft shops, and interesting galleries. The St Mary's River flows through the town, and it's a lovely spot to sit and watch the ducks.
At the top of St Mary's Pass, you can wander along a short track to Gray Mares Tail Falls and enjoy wonderful views of the state reserve.
Further afield, you can explore Evercreech Falls and The White Knights walk at Evercreech Forest Reserve.
You can explore the Aspley Waterhole at the Douglas Apsley National Park and hike to the Gorge.

Evercreech Forest Reserve is a beautiful reserve with two wonderful walks. You can explore Evercreech Falls and also see the "White Knights", the giant white eucalyptus Gums that are nestled in the stunning forest. These two short walks are amazing.
The Apsley River Waterhole and Gorge are located in Douglas-Apsley National Park, an incredibly diverse Park with river gorges, swimming holes, waterfalls, and a beautiful eucalypt forest nestled beneath a dolerite-capped plateau.
