McLaren Vale - South Australia
McLaren Vale is a charming country town surrounded by wineries and vineyards 40 kilometres south of Adelaide. It is a wine lover and foodie's paradise with cafes, restaurants, hotels, iconic wineries and exciting street art.
You can visit the FruChoc Shop, the Fleurieu Arthouse, the Almond Train and Hardys Tintara Winery along the main street. As well as browse in some lovely boutiques and enjoy coffee and cake at the cafes.
At Hardy’s Tintara Winery, you can take a self-guided tour around the winery and gardens.
The McLaren Vale wine region is best known for its premium Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet, and there are more than 80 cellar doors you can visit.
Go to d'Arenberg winery to see the Cube, an impressive five-storey building with a cellar door, restaurant, art exhibitions and outdoor sculptures.
