Jamestown - South Australia

Jamestown is a charming rural town on the banks of the Belalie Creek, with lovely heritage buildings, leafy parks and wide tree-lined streets. It has several cafes, Hotels, a bakery, gift shops and an art gallery. Jamestown is located 215 kilometres north of Adelaide. As you wander around town, you can enjoy the colourful murals, and along Belalie Creek, you will discover the Digger’s Walk, with interesting and informative historical signs.



Memorial Park has a rotunda, barbecues, toilets, a playground and lovely lawns. You can also see the rare 1907 German Krupp Canyon and a Bofor Anti Aircraft gun.


Opposite the Memorial Park is a statue and information about R.M. Williams, the famous outback clothing maker, who was born In Jamestown.



A short drive from Jamestown, you can visit the Bundaleer State Forest, with picnic areas and a playground. There are several short walks, including the fun sculpture trail and longer walks, including the Conservators Track.
