Bridport - Tasmania
Bridport is a popular beachside holiday destination overlooking Anderson Bay; it is located 85 kilometres north-east of Launceston.
Along the main street overlooking the beach, there is a lovely selection of cafes, pubs, and shops to browse in.
Along Anderson Bay, there are lots of small sandy beaches hidden along the rocky coastline, with Mermaids Pool being a popular spot with locals and tourists alike.
It is surrounded by fabulous bushland reserves with a variety of nature walks. The 2-kilometre Foreshore Walk has interesting historic information boards along the way.
Adams Beach, on the outskirts of town, is the longest beach at 1.7 kilometres and is popular with swimmers, body surfers, and dog walkers.
A short drive from Bridport is the Bridestowe Lavender Estate, one of the world's largest lavender oil producers. You can also explore the Lilydale Falls Reserve, which has two lovely waterfalls.
There are also several wineries and cellar doors you can visit for wine tastings.

Lilydale Falls
Lilydale Falls is two waterfalls formed as the Second River cascades over the rocks. They are located in the Lilydale Falls Reserve. The short walk to see the falls is along an easy track that follows the river and goes through the rainforest.

There are several wineries and cellar doors close to Bridport, including Pipers Brook Vineyard, Jansz, Bay of Fires Winery, Clover Hill wines and Brook Eden Vineyards. Enjoy a wine tasting and learn more about Tasmanian wines.
