The Walk - 2.2 kilometres - 40 Minutes - Grade 2
The walking track starts near the carpark and follows an old 4WD trail upwards. You then turn onto a narrower walking track, which heads steadily upwards, meandering around the side of Donaghys Hill.
The track passes through the cool temperate rainforest, where a variety of ferns, mosses, and lichens thrive beneath the canopy.
Before you reach the lookout, you will see stunning displays of colourful wildflowers growing along the edge of the track.
Once you reach the lookout perched on the top of Donaghys Hills, you will see the Franklin River valley and the Frenchman’s Cap’s peak. In the other direction, you will see the Collingwood River, Mt Gell, Mt Arrowsmith and King William Range.
