Buderim Falls
The Buderim Forest is a 45-hectare secluded oasis on the northern side of Buderim. This beautiful park is in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, only 90 minutes from Brisbane. Wander along the Forest Loop Circuit to Buderim Falls (Serenity Falls).
We begin the circuit walk from the upper Quorn Close entry, which has plenty of parking, picnic tables, barbecue facilities and toilets.
Along the 600-metre return rainforest walk, we see stunning ferns, towering tall trees, and intriguing strangler figs.
We continue wandering along the track on the edge of Martin Creek and over several wooden bridges, stopping to admire the lovely cascades. When we arrived at Serenity Bridge, we wandered across and enjoyed the lovely view of Buderim Falls.
Buderim Falls is formed where Martins Creek cascades 10 metres over the rocky ledge into the large waterhole below; it flows all year round but is particularly impressive after heavy rainfall in the area.
You will often find people swimming in the waterhole at the bottom of the falls. However, the council does not recommend it as the creek that feeds the falls goes through urban areas and may include stormwater and rubbish.
We then continued along the circuit path back to the carpark; the entire walk took about 20 minutes.
