Five Waterfalls near Hobart

Myrtle Gully Falls ~ Tasmania.

Myrtle Gully Falls is located behind the historic Cascade Brewery in the foothills of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington. It is a series of cascades, with the top tier dropping approximately 4 metres. There is a lovely small bridge along the track to view the falls.

Secret Falls ~ Tasmania.

Secret Falls is also located on the Myrtle Gully track. The waterfall is a single-drop fall of approx—3 metres flowing through a narrow crevice in the rocks. There is no signage to Secret Falls, but there is a very obvious track down to the falls.

O'Gradys Falls ~ Tasmania.

O'Gradys Falls is 450 metres above sea level. The cool, clear water cascades over the falls and flows into Hobart Rivulet, under the city, and then into the Derwent River. There is a lovely little bridge over the Rivulet where you can see and photograph the falls.

Strickland Falls ~ Tasmania.

Strickland Falls is a lovely small waterfall about 4 metres tall on the Hobart Rivulet. It is easy to access and only a short walk from the car park. It is a very photogenic waterfall surrounded by lush green forest.

Silver Falls ~ Tasmania.

Silver Falls is located on Mount Wellington, a lovely small waterfall approximately 4 metres tall. The water flows down the Browns River and cascades over the rocky ledge at Silver Falls before meandering further down the river.
