1770 Afternoon LARC Cruise

Updated: May 2

1770 Afternoon LARC Cruise

This one-hour LARC Cruise is fun for the whole family. It has breathtaking scenery, interesting commentary, and a fun joyride in the pink LARC. It runs several times a day, and there is also a 2-hour Lunch Tour and a 7-hour Bustard Head Lighthouse tour.

A LARC is a Lighter, Amphibious, Resupply Cargo vehicle, an aluminium-constructed craft that can propel itself through water and on land.

The tour starts at the 1770 Marina, where the skipper greets us, and we climb aboard into our allocated seats. There are 28 seats on board the LARC, all with great views.

Once everyone is seated, we drive along the road, off into the water, and across Round Hill Creek. If you look over the edge, you might see stingrays in the water.

We then drive on the sand along the edge of the Eurimbula National Park up to Eurimbula Creek.

There is one stop on the tour, where we disembark for some photos and a quick look at the beach, and then we head back to the Marina.
